Guilds

In the world of Dark Paradise, you don't have to be a lone knight, warrior, craftsman, wanderer or bandit. You can also join a community - Guild, or establish and form one yourself.

What is a guild and what does it offer you?

In most cases, it is a community of people who have a common goal. It can be a professional guild (NEUTRAL GUILD), where its members are, for example, blacksmiths who see easier market control from the guild. Other players will find it easier to find out that there is a blacksmith guild, whose members are famous for their art and stick to the code of honor in trading, rather then tha there is a master blacksmith living behind seven mountains and seven mines.

It can also be a war guild (ORDER/CHAOS), whose members find comrades in arms in it, on whom they can always rely and with whom they can more easily face unforeseen dangers. It could be a group of paladins, but bandits of all kinds also like to gather together too, because they know that there is strength in unity.

Each guild has its own leader - the Guild Master. The hierarchy and internal organization of the guild is entirely up to its members and mutual agreement. The GM does not resolve disputes within the guild.

You can find a list of guilds that are currently active on the Dark Paradise server on the following page: guild roster.

Wars and battles

Only combat guilds, i.e. ORDER and CHAOS, are allowed to fight together. If guilds of the same faith are fighting together, there is an unwritten rule of declaring war, which the Guild Master can do at the relevant guild stone. We strongly advise that this is an unsupported function at the players' own risk. It will not be resolved if Sphere counts an unauthorized kill or collects karma. Neutral guilds and individual players must not be involved in battles between guilds.

PK zones do not apply to fights between Guilds, but only those types of fights (including spells) that do not endanger neutral Guilds and individual players are allowed. If you are a Guild member and also a PK (red character), the PK rules now apply to you, not the Guild rules. For example, it concerns compliance with PK zones even in the event of a Guild war, etc.

Conditions for founding a Guild

  1. Deposit of cash 300,000 gp
  2. Own story, rules, list of members and contacts for them (Discord / email)
  3. Own WWW page containing information according to point 2
  4. Minimum 3 players
  5. Admission of a new member 25,000 gp
  6. Payment of regular monthly fees in the amount of 75,000 gp
  7. Selected guild name, allignment, guild abbreviation and location for placing the guild stone

After you are sure that you will meet the rules, contact the administrator using the HELP system - Message to GM (Page). After verifying that all conditions for founding a guild have been met, the GM will issue you a guild stone, which you will build and thus establish the guild. Then open the menu, recruit yourself and perform the official procedure associated with the establishment, that is: fill in the guild's website description (keep this link valid for your own benefit, otherwise your GS will be taken away). The GM will fill in the chosen abbreviation, name and alignment of the guild for you.

The name of the Guild must match the name by which the Guild represents itself on its WWW pages. The name of the Guild or its abbreviation cannot be changed in any way during the guild's activity in the world of Dark Paradise. If the conditions are not met, the Guildstone will be automatically deleted.

The Guild must pay regular administrative fees of 75,000 gp per month for its existence. If the fee is not paid on time, the Guildstone will be automatically deleted.

Secure Rune

When the Guild is founded, it will be entitled to 1 Secure Rune. The rune is installed IMMEDIATELY when purchasing a guildstone. Buying another rune costs 200k. Deleting is free. Moving a rune is considered as deleting it and creating a new rune. Only a guild member can request to place or delete a rune through the PAGE system. The GM places the rune only just before building a guild.

Rune control

  1. The rune is controlled by double-clicking on it by the guild member to whom the rune belongs. Doubleclick switches the status from activated to deactivated.
  2. An activated rune is white
  3. A deactivated rune is gray
  4. A rune cannot be walked through in ghost form

Guild Secure Chest

The chest is automatically linked to the Guildstone of the guild member who places and opens it first. Only members and adepts of this guild have access to the chest. The chest is tied to the Guildstone, so if the person who placed it leaves their guild, they will no longer be able to access the chest, but other guild members can.

Guild map

Each guild is entitled to create one protected channel on the automap directly on the server. This channel can be requested by sending an email to mapa@darkparadise.eu, including your registration details (Discord, contact email, guild name) and the map password.

Other informations

If you want to become a member of an existing guild, only the Guild Master of the given guild can accept you. The registration of a new member to the guild is charged with a fee of 25,000gp, payable by the person who conducts the admission procedure. The new member must be in close proximity to the guild stone during this procedure. When accepting, the candidate must not belong to another guild, otherwise the admission fee will be forfeited and the registration will not happen.

If you transfer the Guild Mastership to another player, a majority of the guild members must vote their support. Only then will the Master Menu appear.

You do not get a guild house when you establish a Guild. However, you can rent one or obtain it in another standard way.

Members of the CHAOS/ORDER guild also have the highest quality shields of the respective religion available through the Guild Master. Unlike all others, these shields are free and do not require any raw materials or components to make them.

It is not possible to have a blue character in a PK guild. Every blue character who is a member of a PK guild will be viewed as a criminal and their number of kills will be adjusted.
