Server administrators are the ones who prepare the server for you. They have absolute authority over the running of the entire world, including changes made to it.
GM (Game Master)
They are the game administrators who have absolute authority over it (see the game rules). GMs take care of managing the server, the game, its settings and solving problems with players. They can appear under different names in the game, but it is always obvious from their appearance that they are non-player characters. GMs always have a yellow name. GMs often appear under the name "The First" or "The Second" and wear a "Gm robe". However, this is not a fixed rule.
Game GM (Game Master)
They are the game administrators who take care of current problems directly in the game and occurring in it. These administrators can be contacted for help in the game (modifying houses, replacing doors, rewriting leases, etc.).
Collaborators
Server collaborators are usually players. They do not have game rights or obligations, but they participate significantly in the operation of the Dark Paradise server.
Advisors
Advisors are former or inactive GMs who cannot be contacted with any issues, but are still part of the implementation team.
GMs and advisors on Dark Paradise have a defined specific focus in addition to regular game events. The rule of substitution and full mutual equality also applies between GMs. If any of the server administrators makes a decision, it is final and irrevocable for the players.
Rules for communicating with server administrators
- If your question or request can be specifically classified, contact the administrator who is in charge of this activity. Only when you do not receive an answer for some reason, contact other GMs.
- If you find a bug (error) or a game problem (violation of the rules, etc.) or if you are interested in obtaining a house, rent or guildstone, use the HELP system directly in the game - Message for GM (also Page). Write here specifically what it is about. Messages like "Come here" or containing vulgar expressions are automatically deleted, as a material reward for them you can receive a prison axe with a nasty punishment. Especially vulgar messages are rewarded with account deletion.
- If the problem is urgent and no one from the GM is online (didn't come to the Page), use Discord. You can contact us even if we are offline, but always write specifically what the problem is.
- The message should contain the following information:
- Account name
- Character name
- Time of the problem (when it occurred)
- A more detailed description of the problem (the entire message should not exceed 400 characters.)
- If you do not receive a response within 48 hours, the message can be repeated, previous repetitions will be considered the same as messages like "are you here?", "heeelp", "I have a problem" etc. These messages are usually deleted without a response, if you repeat similar messages you risk being added to the ignore list of the GM to whom you send these messages.
- If you have any suggestions for improving anything, or if you want to spark a discussion, use the bugtracker on GitLab, Discord or the UO Forum section on these pages.
- Please try to respect our privacy and even if you get our private contacts from one of the players, do not abuse them.
