Apex Legends May 2025 Patch Targets Stability, Fixes Sparrow, Arenas & More

Příspěvek od katharineee »

The May 29 patch for Apex Legends may not be the biggest update of the year, but it brings important bug fixes that improve player experience in Season 25. With the introduction of Sparrow and the return of Arenas mode earlier in May, Respawn is now focusing on keeping the gameplay smooth and fair for all.

While the launch of Season 25 brought excitement, it also surfaced bugs that frustrated the community. The May 29 update aims to address some of those lingering issues while reinforcing Respawn's commitment to quality-of-life improvements.

Major Bug Fixes in the Update
Perhaps the most anticipated change is the tweak to Sparrow’s Ultimate hitbox. Players had noted that her projectile was unusually large, sometimes even acting as unintentional cover for enemies. This patch reduces that impact, giving Sparrow users a more balanced experience.

The update also fixes problems with Bloodhound’s Tactical scan indicator, ensuring better communication and visual clarity during matches. Meanwhile, a visual issue affecting reactive G7 Scout skins has been corrected, restoring proper animations and effects.

Several technical issues also received attention, especially those affecting Arenas, which recently returned as a limited-time mode. Crashes associated with this mode should now be resolved, making it more stable for competitive warm-ups. Nintendo Switch users will also be happy to hear that the flickering issue in the lobby and Thunderdome has been fixed.

Additionally, class perk descriptions were adjusted for better clarity, and minor UI fixes have improved the new Ranked Ladder system. Teams will now have better rank transparency, as matchmaking reflects the highest RP value in any given squad.

Post-Launch Clean-Up Continues
This patch follows hot on the heels of an earlier emergency fix for a Revenant exploit, which previously let players abuse his Forged Shadows Ultimate to become invincible. Revenant has since been re-enabled, and Respawn appears committed to rapid response with every issue.

As Apex Legends moves deeper into Season 25, players can expect more incremental updates to ensure a stable and balanced gameplay environment.
